Schalk W Fourie served between 1979 and 1989 in 1 Reconnaissance Regiment, the legendary "Recces." This is his story, never told before.
In 40 years more than 100,000 soldiers tried Special Forces Selection. 432 made it. The failure rate is the among the highest in the world, never less than 90% of those that arrive for the Program will fail. In comparison, the US Green Berets seldom has a failure rate higher than 64%. The US Navy SEALs has a failure rate of 80% and the British / French Special Forces 64%.
